The Shipping Warehouse Associate is responsible for the preparation of shipments, ensuring products are securely packed and ready for transportation. Key responsibilities include selecting appropriate packing materials, assembling crates, and ensuring items are safely loaded for shipment. The role requires expertise in packaging techniques, attention to detail to avoid damage, and the ability to handle the shipment of large cargo. Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on efficiency are essential to meet shipping deadlines and maintain high standards of product protection.
- Measured and cut wood to build crates for secure packaging and safe transit of orders.
- Move pallets/crates with a forklift as needed.
- Accurately pull all required hardware prior to shipping.
- Photograph all outgoing orders to ensure proper order completion.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working area.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
· Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
· Must have excellent attendance and be on time every day.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently on a repetitive basis throughout the shift and assist with team lifts of items weighing up to 100 pounds.
· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods of time.
· Required to wear steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as specified.
· Must be able to safely maneuver pallets and crates using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
· Must adhere to all safety protocols and always demonstrate a commitment to a safe working environment.
