Warehouse Associate / OSHA Compliance Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role combines general warehouse labor with the responsibility of serving as the site OSHA Compliance Officer. The ideal candidate will perform daily warehouse tasks while also ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and promoting a safe workplace for all employees.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties

- Perform general labor tasks including loading/unloading, picking/packing, material handling, and maintaining a clean workspace.

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided if not already certified).

- Assist in inventory management and order fulfillment.

Safety & Compliance Duties

- Act as the warehouse OSHA Compliance Officer, ensuring day-to-day operations meet OSHA standards.

- Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments.

- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions for warehouse staff.

- Report and document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.

- Maintain up-to-date records of OSHA compliance activities.

- Support management in developing and enforcing workplace safety policies.

Qualifications

- Previous warehouse or general labor experience (preferred).

- Strong understanding of OSHA standards in warehouse/industrial environments.

- Ability to train and guide coworkers on safe work practices.

- Good communication and recordkeeping skills.

Certifications (Required / Preferred)

- Required: OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification.

- Preferred (a plus): Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

- First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
