Position Summary
Join a talented team of engineering professionals at Vogt Power International Inc. Vogt is based in Louisville, KY and specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of equipment and solutions to the power generation industry. We are an industry leader in heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with both domestic and international customers. Essential Responsibilities:
BD / Planning
- Evaluate and provide sound business strategies and tools that directly support the marketing and sales initiatives of the Aftermarket Department and is responsible for their implementation and success.
- Maintain the call plan, keep contact with current Aftermarket customers and establish relationships with potential new customers.
- Work closely with BPI VP Sales and BPI Sales Representatives and Reps to ensure Aftermarket has an adequate and effective customer coverage program.
- Attend trade shows, meet with customers and vendors and prepare and conduct presentations.
- Participate/ lead in the VPI Strategic Planning Process as required.
- Establish and maintain management controls and systems, including: budgets; schedules; contract files; communication and reporting systems; project documentation; and continuous improvement feedback procedures.
- Work on establishing, maintaining and implementing procedures and training programs to align with ISO guidelines / procedures, providing audit support as required.
- Responsible for mentoring and training the team members.
- Responsible for coordinating sales and execution efforts with other Business Units.
- Work with engineering and other departments to ensure coordination of resources required for contract execution and meeting schedule deadlines.
- Support project teams, as required, during execution of Aftermarket projects.
- Represent the Aftermarket Department internally and externally, including traveling when needed.
- Responsible for all aspects of sales and execution of aftermarket projects.
- Responsible for all activities required to issue proposals and successfully manage customer/ vendor orders for the Aftermarket Department.
- Lead in bid/no bid decisions, proposal strategy development, cost and pricing reviews.
Directly supervises 3 employees: Manager of Operations (1), Director of Sales (1) and Sr. Administrative Assistant (1).

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and seven (7) years of experience with:
- Design, manufacturing and construction of Heat Recovery Steam Generators and associated heat transfer and air quality control systems.
- Power generation market, equipment, and technology options.
- Competitive landscape in power generation aftermarket solutions.
- Construction methods for modifications of Heat Recovery Steam Generators.
- Manufacturing techniques of Heat Recovery Steam Generators; and
- Leadership level experience in a large capital project environment serving the power generation market.
30% domestic travel within U.S. and 10% international travel required.

Final offers may vary based on multiple factors, including education, depth and relevance of work experience, relevant licenses and certifications, and may vary from the amounts listed in the job posting.
The base pay range for this Vice President of Operations, HRSG Services role is $180,000 - $220,000 annually.
