Position: The Utility Operator is responsible for the operations of a variety of equipment in a safe, productive and efficient manner on a Civil Construction worksite according for the scope of the project and work being performed.
Details:•Local Full-Time Position- No camp/ No flights.
•6 X 6 - 3 days, 3 nights / 12 hour shift.

Compensation Package: Between $47-$52 per hour (depending on experience)
Compensation Package Includes:
•Bussing (provided between Fort McMurray and site daily).

Responsibilities:
•Operate a variety of equipment to move or displace earth, rock, gravel, or other materials during construction related activities in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
•Conduct pre-operational and post-operational checks on equipment, keep equipment clean, and perform any basic maintenance or troubleshooting as required.
•Accept instructions from the Team Lead and/or Shift Supervisor as directed, and adjust work and strategy according to changing conditions, policies, and procedures as needed.
•Participate in toolbox meetings, provide suggestions for improvement and safety.
•Strong focus on safety and attendance.
•Advise Team Lead or Shift Supervisor of any required maintenance or repairs of the equipment.
•Always maintain a safe disposition, ensure the safety of the client site and more importantly, the safety of fellow personnel / drivers.
•Comply with all policies, procedures, and requirements as always laid out by the client while on the worksite.
Skill Requirements:
•Minimum 2+ years of verifiable experience in an equipment operating role in a Civil Construction, Earthworks, or Utility environment.
•Must be able to operate Excavators (470 - 870) Or Dozer (D6- D10).
•Operation of Haul Truck (777), Wiggle Wagons, Grader (16M) is considered an asset.
•High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
•Retention of a valid class five (5) driver’s license and clean three (3) year drivers abstract is required.
•CSO or BSO or OSSA is required.
•Ability to communicate in English is required.
•College or industry courses in heavy equipment operating is considered an asset.
•Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
