Tree Time Services Inc. is looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator. This role's main purpose is to ensure the implementation of our health and safety program, while maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting a safety culture.
Key Accountabilities:
Third party compliance
•ISN, Avetta, complyworks, COR reporting
•COR Audits (external and internal)
Worker readiness
•Orientation of new hires
•Ensuring all employees are up to date on training
•Maintenance of safety and training records
•Overseeing our company safety software ( BIS safety solutions)
•Communicating with prime contractors’ health and safety
General
•Incident response and investigation
•Participate in Joint Work Health and Safety committee meetings
•Implementing, coordinating, tracking, and reporting organizational Health & Safety key performance indicators
•Continuously improving the program with updated legislations and external requirements
•Responsible for updating the Health & Safety Manual and any relevant policies
Qualifications:
•Two years as a health and safety professional
•An occupational health and safety certification or relevant courses
•Working knowledge of legislation of Alberta or British Columbia
•Knowledge of field operations is considered an asset
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•Process oriented and systematic in the performance of work
•Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly is a key requirement
•Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (word, excel)
•Experience working with Complyworks, Avetta, and ISN is preferred
•Experience working with online safety software is considered an asset
