Job Summary
The Grounds Maintenance Worker plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of outdoor spaces. This position involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, tree care, and general grounds upkeep. The ideal candidate will possess skills in lawn care, garden management, and the operation of specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and rigs.
Responsibilities
•Perform regular lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and fertilization to ensure healthy growth.
•Maintain gardens by planting, weeding, pruning, and mulching to enhance visual appeal.
•Operate bucket trucks safely for tree trimming and maintenance tasks.
•Conduct landscape maintenance activities including planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
•Utilize GIS technology for mapping and planning grounds maintenance activities.
•Assist in the care of trees through proper trimming techniques and health assessments.
•Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any malfunctions.
•Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
•Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping preferred.
•Familiarity with lawn care practices and gardening techniques.
•Ability to operate a bucket truck and other landscaping equipment safely.
•Knowledge of tree trimming practices and tree care principles is a plus.
•Experience with GIS technology is beneficial but not mandatory.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
•Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
•A valid driver’s license may be required for operating company vehicles.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
