Location: Mobile Position (Various Rig and Station locations - Western Canada)
Job Summary:
The Transportation Trainer is a full-time temporary position, for a one-year limited term, reporting to the General Manager, Well Servicing. As a member of the Well Servicing Team, the Transportation Trainer is responsible for the support of the field operations team and equipment, assessing and training field employees with transportation related requirements, field inspections of equipment and transportation procedures and reporting/analytics.
Responsibilities:•Work with operations team to coordinate training, assessment, travel, and evaluation schedule.
•Conduct In-Shop Training Sessions – Preventative Maintenance and Trip Inspections
•Follow up on trip inspection defects/repair requirements
•Conduct In-Field Driver Evaluations for new hires, concluding with what vehicles the employee is authorized to operate; conduct annually based on need.
•Ensure proper implementation/trouble shooting of GeoTab ELD Devices and Apps in field
•Conduct annual Transportation Rig Audits of worksites, including TDG permit adherence.
•Stay current with Industry & Transportation Safety legislative and permit requirements.
•Assist all departments with Vehicle Incident Investigations as required
•Assist with updating systems, files, manuals, safety plans, etc., as required.
Technical Competencies:
•Transportation background (Experienced Class 1 Driver)
•Heavy Vehicle Inspection & Systems knowledge
•Knowledge of provincial and national transportation safety regulations
•Strong computer skills, with intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Education and Experience:
•Knowledge of provincial and national transportation safety regulations

Qualifications:
•Valid Class 1 Driving License, with less than 6 demerits
•Minimum 5 years in transportation
•Ability to use inspection tools, and perform vehicle trip inspections and under-carriage assessments
•Must be eligible to drive company vehicles, per Ensign Standard.
•Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug test and physical assessment
