Transportation Administrator

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain accurate records including permits, receipts, maintenance logs, and driver documentation

- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and internal company policies

- Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to resolve issues

- Address customer inquiries and complaints related to transportation services

- Coordinate with field personnel, management, and third parties to resolve invoice discrepancies identified by Targa’s Downstream accounting group

- Utilize transport management software to track shipments and vehicle movements as needed

- Manage driver and field personnel schedules in both Chorus and Outlook

- Work with the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate data entry for drivers and carriers in Chorus, supporting monthly accounting close

- Process driver payments and maintain expense records

- Manage the transport payables process, including initial review and input of transport invoices into Chorus

- Review discrepancies and resolve invoice issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

- Prepare and present transportation performance reports to management as needed

- Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as required to support the transport team

- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma or GED

- 2+ years of experience in transportation or logistics administration

- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and transport compliance

- Proficient in transport management systems and Microsoft Office Suite

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- Strong problem-solving abilities

- Adept at using Microsoft Excel; comfortable with creating new spreadsheets and familiar with pivot tables

- Proficient with all other Microsoft applications including word, power point and outlook

- Able to work independently or as part of a team

- Able to multi-task and juggle competing priorities in a fast paced, sometimes intense work environment

- Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization

- Regular and reliable attendance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree (Business, Accounting or Economics)

- Experience with Chorus Logistics or Oracle
