RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinates and manages activities for Transport Planning and Scheduling Operations East and West including supply shifts / disruptions, loading issues, delivery incidents, resources, and specialty product movements.
2. Monitors weekly resource plans for trucking resources, supply of product, and other various resources to be planned for and assists in securing additional support as needed to ensure success.
3. Manages the coordination and execution of product shifts to overcome supply disruptions and ensures that contractual obligations are met. Monitors operational plans to confirm proper execution, tracks performance metrics related to such plans and provides updates to stakeholders.
4. Receives notice from Schedulers of issues related to loading product and provides direction to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Coordinates resources and response efforts to delivery and product quality incidents.
5. Remains available on-call 24/7/365 to assist with supply, allocation, and loading/delivery issue.
6. Tracks and reports on operational and financial metrics and consults with business units to achieve operational objectives by leveraging data and recommending solutions. Works collaboratively with operational leaders to develop strategies and operational plans that maximize MPC profits, reduce costs, optimize assets, and ensure reliable performance.
7. Provides solutions and support to Scheduling and Fleet Operations to execute market strategies and operational priorities.
8. Identifies opportunities to improve the operational efficiencies and to grow new business.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other business-related function is preferred
Experience in logistics, supply chain, or petroleum industry experience preferred
