- Uses Material Requirement Planning to roll “planned” orders to actual orders when material is available and creates release list after verifying material is not allocated to other jobs. Resolves order quantities and may request that more material be ordered. Communicate issues and resolutions with appropriate scheduler and manager to make sure they are aware.
- Research inventory issues involving details for all customers to ensure they will be available when needed for assembly. Make necessary adjustments to schedules to meet delivery requirements and communicate changes with other Schedulers and Production staff as needed.
- Reviews schedules for EDI accuracy from assigned customers to find adds/drops and communicates issues/resolutions with internal and external customers. May add customer requirements to existing orders to reflect changes. May assist other Schedulers with research and changes as needed.
- Uses Master Production Schedule to roll “planned” orders into actual orders and performs planning duties as needed. Performs releases on assigned customer product.
- Maintains good customer relations with contacts at assigned customers by phone or email as needed.
- Monitor production order execution. Identifies idle and bottleneck processes impacting order completion. Communicate scheduling issues and conflicts with impacted departments and personnel to identify and update schedule priorities to resolve issues affecting time completion. Assist with the expediting product as needed.
- Observe all safety and OSHA procedures and standards. Maximum lifting of 25lb without assistance. PPE is required at times.
- A two-year college degree in Business Administration or related coursework is preferred
- One to three years of planning/scheduling experience
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Extensive organizational skills to multitask critical issues
- Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining customer relations with difficult topics
- Extensive skill and use of MPS systems
- Ability to meet deadlines
