The Transmission System Supervisor (TSS) performs the NERC System Operator duties. The TSS has the responsibility and authority to implement real-time actions to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System. This is accomplished in such a way that it adheres to NERC, RFC, MISO policies and procedures. The TSS monitors voltage frequency, power flow, reactive flow, tie-line flow and power equipment status, for internal and external grid security. At all times, the TSS is responsible for the restoration of transmission reliability after contingencies related to loss of generation, load, natural disasters and other system emergencies. The TSS has the operating authority to direct the dispatcher operators during all transmission restoration procedures. The position has a rotating shift and includes weekend and holiday duty.

$91,000.00 - $136,600.00 The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.*
