Trade Operations Analyst - Natural Gas

About This Job

As a Trade Operations Analyst (Natural Gas), you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including Trading, Scheduling, Legal, Compliance, Finance/Tax, Technology, Risk Management, and others, to support the North American Gas businesses. Your role will involve trade verification, confirmation, invoice and settlement services, treasury activities, and decentralized reconciliations of books of records. Your ability to work collaboratively, your attention to detail, and your drive for continuous improvement will be essential in addressing business issues and meeting the needs of the Commodity Markets and Finance division.

Responsibilities:

•

Collaborate with stakeholders, including Trading, Scheduling, Legal, Compliance, Finance/Tax, Technology, and Risk Management, to support our North American Gas businesses.

•

Perform trade verification, confirmation, invoice and settlement services, and treasury activities.

•

Conduct decentralized reconciliations of books of records.

•

Maintain accuracy, escalate timely issues, and communicate effectively within the division and relevant parties.

•

Utilize your working knowledge of the Power, Gas, and Environmental products markets.

•

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

•

Apply strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.

•

Foster a collaborative environment, working directly with trading businesses and supporting traders.

•

Thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.

Qualifications:

•

Minimum of two years of relevant back-office trade support/settlement experience in the Power, Gas, or Environmental products markets.

•

Working knowledge of the Power, Gas, and Environmental products markets.

•

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

•

Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.

•

Collaborative mindset and ability to work directly with trading businesses and support traders.

•

Thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.

•

Strategic mindset with the ability to simplify complex situations.

•

Experience with basic programming, data, or workflow tools (e.g., Python, R, Alteryx, PowerBI) is a plus.
