Summary:

Lay out, fit, assembles parts to create and repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, machinists' hand tools

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Studies blueprint to determine machining to be done and plans layout and assembly.

- Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock to lie out for machining by other workers.

- Operates drill press to drill and tap holes in parts.

- Smooth and scrapes parts to fit.

- Positions and secures parts on surface plate.

- Assembles parts into product and verifies dimensions and alignments.

- Sets up and operates surface grinder to grind surface of parts.

- Tests assembled mechanism

Job Type: Full-time
