Superior Completion Services is seeking a Tool Inspector 1 for our office in Lafayette, LA.

Ensure our customers receive only the best by taking charge of inspections that go beyond the ordinary. You'll verify precise dimensions of components and assemblies, confirm critical quality documentation, witness high-stakes product testing, conduct sharp-eyed visual inspections, and collaborate closely with suppliers, engineers, operations teams - and even customer inspectors. Your attention to detail will help uphold our reputation for excellence!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of new rental products
•Perform functional tests on the piece parts
•Perform an inspection of assemblies
•Perform visual inspection of components and assemblies in accordance with applicable documents
•Work with customer inspectors in the examination of the product
•Assist Engineering and Operations in the investigation of product failures.
•Assist outside suppliers with problems related to subcontracted parts.
•Assist in the training of other personnel as required.
•Perform simple calibrations and maintain records for various tools, instruments, and gauges used in the manufacturing and inspection processes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•High School Diploma/GED required
•1 - 3 Years of Experience is required
Technical Skills:
•Familiar with, and knowledgeable in the use of, the typical measuring tools used for mechanical inspection, such as dial calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, optical contour projector, hard gauges, and Gage maker Mic-Trac system.
•Familiar with current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Including regulatory and SES required courses).
•Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations.
•Knowledge of computer hardware and software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, including programming used for Quality Control and Inspection activities.
•Applicable PPE is required to complete assigned tasks.
•Must have a working knowledge of high school mathematics, including algebra and trigonometry.
•Familiar with Quality Systems and requirements.
•Reading and understanding specifications and other work-related documents.
•Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.
•Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
•Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
•Must be able to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, schematics, diagrams, sketches, and/or specifications.
