Tool and Die Maker

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining and the ability to create, modify, and repair tooling and dies used in the production process. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Duties

- Design, fabricate, and repair tools, dies, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.

- Operate various machinery including milling machines, lathes, and electrical discharge machines.

- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in production.

- Program CNC machines as necessary to produce complex parts.

- Conduct inspections of tools and dies to maintain quality standards.

- Troubleshoot issues with tooling and implement solutions to improve efficiency.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in operating milling machines, lathes, and other relevant machinery.

- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers.

- Knowledge of programming CNC machines is an asset.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or related field is preferred.
