We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a Tool and Die B Plan, layout, construct, alter and repair a wide variety of tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, templates, and parts. Considerable judgment is required to plan and layout work, make exacting machine setups, perform skilled bench work, maintain very close tolerances.

- Receive direction from senior tool and die personnel, work from drawings, sketches, samples and job instructions to plan and determine operation sequences.
- Make necessary mathematical calculations to select allowances for fitting and finishing operations.
- Lay out work as necessary and collaborate with machinists on more complicated work.
- Set up and operate all machine tools. (Determining alignment, location and speed)
- Indicate work as necessary to detect run outs or misalignment.
- Assist set-up technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Accurately perform and document die preventative maintenance.
- Over 4 years of related work experience.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers).
- Working with and be able to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Use advanced shop mathematics, handbook formulas.
- Work from complex drawings, specifications, sketches.
- Use all types of precision measuring equipment.
- Basic computer skills (e-mail, excel, web-based applications)
- Detail- Oriented- must be able to make decisions, plan, perform tasks, and detect faulty equipment.
- Excellent communication skills
