LP is a local propane distributor servicing residential and commercial customers in South Eastern Idaho. LP has been in business since 1992 and delivers for tanks ranging from 100 to 60,000 gallons.

Job Summary

The Territory Sales Representative qualifies and closes new customers by presenting and selling propane solutions within a specific territory assignment. The Territory Sales Representative prospects customer needs, establishes relationships to present sales proposals focusing on new and existing accounts. Meets and exceeds sales goals as defined by their sales Manager.

Sales- experienced in sales; develops prospects, presents to accounts, and closes sales that establish and build sales volume within their assigned territory.

•

Communications - Ability to establish and develop both internal and external relationships, present sales proposals and build client accounts.

•

Strategic - Understands how the propane business operates and is knowledgeable on company products, business segments and the selling process.

Duties and Responsibilities

•

Relationships - Establishes strong relationships with prospective customers using various prospecting and business development techniques.

•

Sales Planning - Ability to develop and execute a sales plan for their specific geographic area to maintain a high level of effective sales call activity and increase productivity. Prepares and presents sales proposals to current and prospective customers.

•

Networks - Focuses efforts on decision-makers in targeted client organizations to lead them to the LP Propane solution.

•

Time Management - Be a self-starter and is effective in scheduling their time to not only meet commitments to existing clients, but create a schedule to manage new business

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required

•

Must have all sales skills necessary to independently prospect assigned geographic territory, probe to discover needs, present solutions, and secure new business.

•

Three or more years' experience in business to consumer sales or a related field in an associated industry.

•

Strong customer service skills.

•

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

•

Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.

•

Strong business acumen.

•

Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.

•

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred

•

College degree or trade or technical school (Certificate or diploma) in an applicable field.

•

Sales Experience - Has sales experience with a demonstrated record of sales success and goal attainment.

•

Experience in Marketing in business to consumer arena.

•

Experience in the propane market.
