Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, computer networking, and relevant codes such as the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Telecommunications Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of telecommunications infrastructure.
Duties
•Install and configure telecommunications equipment including alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and networking devices.
•Conduct regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues with existing systems.
•Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to assist in system design and implementation.
•Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform installations and repairs.
•Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions for their telecommunications requirements.
•Ensure compliance with NEC standards and safety regulations during all installations and repairs.
•Provide field service support, responding promptly to service calls and resolving issues efficiently.
Experience
•Proven experience in electrical work or telecommunications field service is preferred.
•Familiarity with computer networking principles and practices is essential.
•Experience with system design for telecommunications solutions is a plus.
•Knowledge of alarm system sales techniques is beneficial but not required.
•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
•Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.
