Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Overhaul and repair gas and gas engines, disassemble engines and replace defective parts.
- Troubleshoot and trace Hydraulic systems and schematics for problems and repair.
- Scan and troubleshoot all PCMS in all types of vehicles, small and heavy equipment.
- Perform maintenance and be able to troubleshoot A/C systems (134A, 1234).
- Help ensure all projects are performed safely per GRDA, APPA, EPA, OSHA, and other regulations.
- Work with various divisions and departments within GRDA in a professional manner. Coordinate and communicate with the senior technicians and/or supervisor daily.
- Safely operate equipment and vehicles including, but not limited to, aerial lifts, line trucks, cranes, backhoes, trenching machinery, utility vehicles, tractors, and other mobile equipment used in the construction and maintenance of the Fleet Department.
- Must be able to carry and operate a fire extinguisher and wear all required PPE (hardhat, FR clothing, steel toe shoes, safety glasses and goggles, hearing protection, fall protection, and face coverings).
- Must be able to perform work in close and tight quarters, such as engine compartments and under-supported vehicles and equipment
- Complete all required web-based, textbook, and instructor-led training courses as the supervisor(s) instructed.
- Above-average knowledge of hydraulics, aerial buckets, and digger derricks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word and Excel.
- 2-4 years of experience in the Automotive and/or Hydraulic Technician field.
- Valid Oklahoma Class A (CDL) Commercial Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain within one year.
- Must be able to stand and walk on cement floors, uneven ground, slippery surfaces, and open grating. Climb extending ladders, restricted overhead clearance ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and other equipment.
- Will be required to sit, bend, stoop, perform above shoulder work, and work with arms extended.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. from the floor level, push and pull heavy objects while standing, crouching, and bent posture.
- Must be able to carry and operate a fire extinguisher and wear all required PPE (hardhat, FR clothing, steel toe shoes, safety glasses and goggles, hearing protection, fall protection, and face coverings).
- Position is located at the GRDA Transmission Headquarters in Pryor, OK.
