What's the role?
The role is responsible for supporting the seismic mechanical activities of the company for offshore vessels and project equipment specifics.
Key Responsibilities:
•Mechanical technical support.
•Maintain seismic mechanical technical specifications and standards for marine acquisition projects.
•Develop, maintain and improve the Company’s seismic mechanical technology and technique with a focus on environmental, safety, and operational efficiency and excellence.
•Keep abreast of changes in seismic mechanical technology and proactively make recommendations to Management for enhanced service offerings.
•Support key suppliers of mechanical services.
•Monitor mechanical department spend and procurement.
•Monitor mechanical-related downtime across fleet and implement program to reduce this as far as practical.
•Support Human Resources in the selection and development of mechanic personnel.
•Ensure that the Company management system is implemented, adhered to, measured and improved with support work.
•Assist in marketing of mechanical services to Clients.
•Ensure that Company’s pioneering approach to sustainability is implemented throughout the mechanical organization.
•Frequent international travel, sometimes at short notice.
•Occasional visits to, and onboard vessels
•Fulfill their assigned responsibilities as part of the Emergency Response team in line with the Emergency Response Plan and duty list as required.
Requirements
Who are we looking for?
•Detailed knowledge of and extensive experience with marine seismic survey methods and technologies relating to the mechanical aspects.
•Mechanical or related technical Engineering degree/trade qualifications.
•Hold at least 10 years of relevant seismic mechanical experience.
