Job Summary
Viacore in Sudbury, Ontario, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanical Services Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who possesses strong leadership abilities and a solid background in mechanical services.
Main Responsibilities:
•Oversee and manage a team of millwrights, technicians, and welder/fabricators.
•Provide guidance, support, and leadership to the team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, project deadlines, and quality standards.
•Plan, schedule, and coordinate mechanical services projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation and efficient utilization of manpower.
•Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure work is performed according to specifications and meets industry standards.
•Collaborate with other supervisors, managers, and clients to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
•Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
•Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
•Maintain accurate records of work orders, project progress, and employee performance evaluations.
•Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
Education & Certification Required:
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
•Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and material handling systems.
•433A Industrial Millwright Certificate of Qualification
Requirements:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role overseeing mechanical services, preferably in an industrial setting.
•Minimum 5 years of trade experience as an Industrial Millwright
•Proven experience leading and managing teams of millwrights, technicians, and welder/fabricators.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
•Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
•Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
•Demonstrated commitment to safety and knowledge of applicable safety regulations.
