The Technical Product Owner for Financial and HCM ERP Modules is a pivotal leader within GSOC Shared Services IT, responsible for overseeing the vision, strategy, and execution of Enterprise Application solutions for GSOC, GTC, and OPC. This role is dedicated to elevating customer satisfaction by ensuring robust, scalable, and secure ERP systems that empower users and drive business value. This role will provide strong people leadership, developing and empowering direct reports, while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- ERP Expertise & Leadership: Lead the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution for Financial and Human Capital Management (HCM) ERP modules, championing best practices and delivering on enterprise objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to define and refine product and technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and evolving business needs.
- Platform Modernization: Spearhead initiatives to modernize ERP platforms, focusing on scalable, secure, and self-service solutions that optimize both business processes and user experience.
- Product Vision & Ownership: Own the product vision for Financial and HCM ERP modules, advocate for its adoption across the organization, and drive continuous improvement through agile, data-driven methodologies.
- Implementation & Delivery: Translate high-level product strategies into actionable development plans, leading cross-functional teams through the planning, design, implementation, change management, and reporting phases.
- Governance & Compliance: Oversee governance processes, funding requirements, and compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and corporate policies (including SOX, RUS, OSHA, NERC, FERC, and ITS requirements).
- Performance & Metrics: Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators and product metrics, providing visibility to stakeholders and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster an environment of innovation, compliance, and ongoing enhancement, applying modern product management and development methodologies to maximize efficiency and value.
- Team Leadership: Directly accountable for performance management, personnel development, resource allocation, and cultivating positive team dynamics within the ERP functional areas.
- Demonstrated expertise implementing and managing Financial and HCM ERP modules in complex enterprise environments. Experience in the utility industry with Infor/Lawson preferred
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and translate business strategy into actionable technical solutions. The ideal candidate has a breadth of experience across GL, AP, AR, Forecasting as well as core HR, LMS, TA, Succession planning, Payroll modules
- Strong experience in integration design, including the ability to develop and maintain integration architecture, data flow diagrams, and interface specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work with APIs, web services, and middleware technologies to facilitate smooth data exchange and system interoperability.
- Strong knowledge of ERP platform modernization, integration, and best practices for scalability and security.
- Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SAP BusinessObjects, Oracle BI, Microsoft Power BI, or similar, to deliver robust and scalable reporting solutions.
- Experience in agile product management, continuous improvement, and adoption of modern development methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 10 years in the area of Business Analysis, Application Development, Software Support, IT, or Technology.
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT , Engineering, or related field with at least 14 years of experience with Business Analysis, Application Development, Software Support, IT, or Technology with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, OR
- Eighteen (18) years of direct experience in the experience areas defined above in addition to at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
