Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is seeking a talented Product Owner to lead a team dedicated to delivering custom, data-intensive products that transform our work processes. By driving innovative data management strategies and leveraging data to automate decision-making, this role plays a critical part in creating a competitive advantage for FHR and shaping how we work. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of modern data platforms and cloud technologies, enabling them to drive the design, development, and release of innovative solutions. This is a hybrid role based at our Wichita, KS headquarters.

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, aligned with the organization’s data strategies and business goals.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of the product, track its performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Advocate for end-users by maintaining a deep understanding of their needs and pain points. Continuously gathering and evaluating user feedback to inform product planning, improvement efforts, and lifecycle decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, product analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
- Conduct hands-on work gathering requirements, creating feature and data files, and overseeing development, testing, and production releases.
- Build a deep understanding of data flows and their significance within our business processes.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment across stakeholders.
- Effectively lead a cross-functional team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes.
- Mentor and support product analysts to deliver competitive results.
- Demonstrated ability to acquire domain knowledge, collaborate with subject matter experts, and translate complex challenges into actionable strategies and solutions.
- Proven experience working on custom-developed products, particularly those with a strong focus on data-intensive solutions.
- Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to achieve high-quality product outcomes.
- Proven ability to create tailored solutions that achieve desired outcomes while addressing customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust, foster alignment, and collaborate with peers and stakeholders.
- Experience with Neo4j Graph Data Platform and familiarity with querying languages such as Cypher and SQL.
- Knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, Step Functions, S3, and serverless frameworks.
- Understanding of mark-to-market accounting concepts or experience supporting accounting teams.
