- Install new or rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project requirements.
- Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Contribute to and maintain system standards.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Assists with the creation of information technology system procedures and policies. Follows all information technology system procedures and policies.
- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
- Create new user email accounts and add users to the correct distribution group.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Participate in information technology projects as required.
- Assists in researching, proposing and implementing new technologies and providing training, as needed.

- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science (or 2 years relevant work experience along with technical certification, Microsoft).
- Minimum of 2 years in technical support services.
- 3 years Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory administration, MCSA/MCSE preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware, network design, components and services.
- Strong technical knowledge of operating systems including: Windows Server, Windows 7, 8, and 10, Remote Desktop.
- Experience with NERC CIP processes or other IT regulatory processes is preferred.
- Experience with Hyper-V or VMWare virtualization desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and/or Microsoft Azure administration a plus.
- Experience with SharePoint and/or SQL Server administration a plus
- Experience with PBX and VoIP systems a plus.
- Training or experience with standard IT processes, such as ITIL or ISO IEC a plus
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with little or no assistance.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Work is performed in an office environment and in the field
- Less than 5% travel
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift, up to 20 pounds
