System Operator (SH)

OUC - The Reliable One, is presently seeking a System Operator to join the Transmission, Substation & System Protection division. At OUC, we don’t just work – we’re building a bright future of innovation and transformation for future generations.

We are looking for a NERC Certified System Operator to monitor and operate the transmission and distribution system for OUC to meet the electric load of the Florida Municipal Power Pool. The ideal candidate will have an above average understanding of math and electric theory along with excellent communication skills to coordinate and schedule available resources alongside other utilities and marketers.

This position offers a 24-hour rotating schedule of (4) four days (6 am-6 pm) on, followed by (4) four days off with a rotation to nights (6 pm- 6 am) every (2) months.

Salary Range: $48.945 - $70.071 Hourly - commensurate with experience
