Survey Party Chief – Trimble & GPS Equipment Specialist

Overview

We’re looking for a self-driven, technically skilled Survey Party Chief to take full ownership of our surveying operations. This is a solo position ideal for someone who thrives on independence, is proficient with Trimble systems and computers, and is ready to build and lead a new department from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform field surveys using Trimble GNSS, Total Stations, and Machine Control systems

- Process and manage survey data using Trimble Business Center (TBC)

- Install, configure, and maintain GPS systems on heavy equipment

- Split time between fieldwork and office-based planning and data processing

- Communicate with clients and project teams to ensure accuracy and satisfaction

- Help establish and grow the survey department’s capabilities

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in land surveying, preferably in a solo or lead role

- Proficient with Trimble hardware/software, including TBC and Machine Control

- Strong computer skills, including data management and troubleshooting

- Experience installing and maintaining GPS systems on construction equipment

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- Drone operation experience is a plus
