We are looking for a responsible, motivated surveyor to provide support throughout a project’s lifecycle, including maintaining record documents, coordination of field and office tasks, and collaboration with the project manager and client. Please note, majority of field work will be in the Grande Prairie, Alberta region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform various aspects of civil, construction and oil & gas surveys including pipelines, wellsites, pile layouts (from house to wellsite to plant site), roadways, 3D machine control setups, topo’s using RTK and drone flights. All being preformed accurately, efficiently and with minimal supervision.

- Perform preliminary, construction and as-built surveys

- Work with various survey equipment and software including Trimble-Topcon GPS and robotic total stations, digital levels and drones

- Accurately read and interpret civil design plans

- Actively participate in our health and safety program

- Facilitate and maintain strong positive client relations

- Work remotely for up to 14 days at a time depending on project location

QUALIFICATIONS

- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in geomatics/civil engineering and/or related experience

- 5+ years related work experience

- Valid class 5 drivers’ licence

- Knowledge of Trimble or Topcon systems

- Strong computer skills, especially in the Microsoft 365 environment

- Drone experience and a basic/advanced pilot’s certificate is an asset

- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsurvey, 3D machine control software, Trimble Business Center, and Topcon Tools is an asset

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Strong commitment to precision, excellence, attention to detail and professional development.
