Job Summary
The Industrial Cleaning Crew Leader is responsible for leading and managing a team of technicians to ensure the safe and efficient completion of industrial cleaning projects. In addition to performing the duties of a technician, the Crew Leader oversees daily operations, ensures compliance with safety standards, and coordinates communication between team members and supervisors. While the primary duties are outlined below, additional tasks may be assigned as needed by management.
Key Responsibilities
•Leadership & Supervision: Manage and lead a team of technicians, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
•Safety Leadership: Maintain safety as the highest priority by enforcing all safety policies, ensuring team members follow proper procedures, and conducting safety checks on-site.
•Work Oversight: Monitor and manage the daily operations of industrial cleaning projects, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
•Equipment Operation: Oversee the operation of high-pressure water blasters and vacuum equipment, ensuring that all team members are using them correctly and safely.
•PPE Management: Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for all crew members, including respirators, and protection for skin, face, hands, and feet.
•Team Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between crew members and supervisors, ensuring effective communication on areas such as safety, work progress, and quality concerns.
•Scheduling & Availability: Coordinate crew schedules and ensure team availability for 24/7 operations, including weekends and holidays as needed.
•Training & Development: Provide training and support to technicians to enhance their skills and ensure they are prepared to meet the demands of each project.
Qualifications
•Leadership Experience: Prior experience leading or supervising teams in the industrial cleaning industry is required.
•TWIC Card: Must hold a current Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
•Driver’s License: Class C driver’s license required (Class A or B preferred), with an acceptable driving record.
•Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience within the industrial cleaning industry.
•Certifications: Ability to complete necessary site safety courses, such as 40-hour HAZWOPER.
•Work Schedule: Must be able to manage shift work, turnaround projects, and be on-call during weekends.
•Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills when interacting with customers, supervisors, and crew members.
•Safety Commitment: Strong focus on promoting and ensuring safety within the crew.
•Fit for Duty: Ability to pass a fit test and ensure crew members comply with this requirement.
•Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

•Ability to pass medical screening and drug test (pre-employment, random, and annual).
•Successfully pass a background check.
•Capability to perform and oversee duties according to company training and standard operating procedures.

•Exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
