With over 550 team members, the underground operation is located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Reporting to the Health & Safety Supervisor, the Surface Mine Equipment Trainer is responsible for the training, assessments, progression and record keeping for mining equipment operators to improve the overall operational skill level and career progression in the Mining department.

The successful candidate must have hands on experience in best practices relating to safety, mining, and maintenance methodologies to manage the activities involved in the assessment, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of training and development for the Island Gold District Surface Mine.

The position is based at the Island Gold District - Magino Mine Site on a defined 7 days on/7 days off or 14 days on/14 days off schedule. Schedule change based on operational necessity may be required. Willingness and ability to work extra hours when required.
