Supply Chain Manager
Job Description
Under the supervision of the General Manager – Operations, the Supply Chain Manager oversees supply chain operations for the Well Operations – US group, identifying cost savings, efficiencies, optimization, and standardization opportunities.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
• Supervise Supply Chain Specialists and Warehouse employees.
• Participation in establishing and communicating WOUS expectations and ensure that WOUS Supply Chain processes and procedures are properly implemented.
• Practice fleet wide cost savings and implement strategies to reduce budget.
• Develop standardization along with sourcing strategies for key material, equipment, and services across the WOUS fleet.
• Aligning Supply Chain strategies with the operational needs of WOUS assets.
• Negotiating and approving new additions to the AVL (Approved Vendor List). Manage AVL based on market conditions.
• Supply Chain process design and improvement.
• Supplier performance and relationship management.
• Commodity Management on / offshore.
• Liaise with the offshore Storeman to ensure proper purchasing.
• Meet BU targets and objectives aligned by WOUS management.
• Complete other duties and/or projects as required and assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education / Training:
Ten (10) years’ experience in the Marine Supply Chain field with at least five (5) years being in supply chain management.
Experience
Ten (10) years with at least Five (5) years’ experience in procurement / supply chain management of technical materials, equipment and services, with preference for experience in oil and gas, marine industry.
Skills
Negotiation and contract negotiating skills, with a proven track record of cost savings. Management and leadership skills.
