Job Summary:
NAES is seeking a Supply Chain and Project Scheduling Engineer to support the planning and execution of large-scale energy infrastructure projects in Buffalo, NY. This hybrid role combines construction scheduling with supply chain coordination to ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction milestones. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Primavera P6 and vendor management to help drive schedule integrity and on-time delivery of critical materials and equipment. This role requires up to 30% travel to project sites, vendor locations, or engineering offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, including engineering, procurement, and construction phases
•Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to align material delivery timelines with construction activities
•Track and expedite critical equipment and materials to prevent delays
•Analyze and report schedule performance, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation strategies
•Support subcontractor coordination and verify alignment of their schedules and delivery plans
•Interface with vendors to track submittals, RFQs, PO status, and shipping timelines
•Participate in regular project meetings and provide schedule and supply chain updates to leadership
•Assist with reporting dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and procurement trackers
Job Requirements:
•Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel
•Familiarity with construction workflows, critical path scheduling, and procurement cycles
•Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand construction sequence
•Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Experience with project delivery in the power, energy, industrial, or EPC sectors preferred
•Experience with tools such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is a plus
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and participate in both virtual and on-site meetings
•30% travel may be required to project sites, vendor locations, or engineering offices
Education / Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
•10+ years of combined experience in project scheduling and supply chain coordination
•Primavera P6 training or certification preferred
•Knowledge of power industry or infrastructure projects strongly desired
•Master’s degree or relevant certifications a plus
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $70-$80.
