Electrical Quality Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Quality Engineer that will evaluate electrical systems and conduct complex inspections on electrical power plant systems. You will play a key role in upholding electrical engineering integrity and delivering quality results from procurement through final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
•Knowledgeable of electrical systems such as: LV Motor Control Centers, AC Distribution equipment and transformers, Electrical Motors, DC Distribution equipment and Motor Starters, Electrical cables and electrical materials and other standard electrical systems.
•Develop new Cross Functional Audits of new or existing suppliers.
•Update and maintain NCR’s (Non-Conformance reports) QN’s (Quality Notifications) issued as part of the audit process from onset to corrective action implementations.
•Review technical specifications for procurement to extract quality requirements.
•Write quality specifications for electrical equipment/systems with technical specifications.
•Write, review, analyze and distribute electrical inspection reports.
•Review customer and supplier inspection/test plans, to assure proper witness or hold points are detailed and incorporated into Mitsubishi Power Engineering Plan.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering field or equivalent hands-on work experience. 2 years of hands-on experience is equivalent to 1 year of formal college education.*
•4+ years of experience with low voltage electrical equipment including LV Switchgear, LV Motor Control Centers, AC Distribution Panels, Battery Chargers, Rectifiers and DC Starters.
•4+ years of knowledge of electrical installations of grounding systems, raceways, utility, lighting, receptacles, and HVAC systems.
•4+ years of experience interpreting outline drawings, electrical one-line and schematic drawings, termination tables for inspection. purposes.
•Must understand both AC and DC circuits and understand how to use standard inspection equipment.
•Possess a general understanding and knowledge of Power Generation electrical equipment, products, and services.
•Solid knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) NFPA 70, ANSI/IEEE Standards
•Ability to travel up to 70%.
