Summit Technology Services has a long-term contract for a Supplier Quality Specialist in Houston, TX
Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development for Logistics suppliers.
Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
•Leads and monitors supplier development activities across the assigned category
•Managing logistic process non-conformities by monitoring LCAF tickets and developing and executing Supplier Quality improvement initiatives
•Engaging with Logistic functions and suppliers to improve LCAF response and closure rate
•Proactively drives logistic related supplier process improvement to enable on-time-supply
•Drives high severity incident analysis and corrective actions with logistic suppliers
•Participates on business reviews along with operation logistic and logistic category with Carriers, Freight Forwarder, and distribution centers,
•Having effective communication with other functional areas required. Influencing peers to meet the objectives.
To be successful in this role you will:
•Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
•Have minimum of 4 years of experience in a Supplier Quality or Quality Role.
•Bring working knowledge of assigned category
•Possess ISO 9001 Auditor skills, ideally lead auditor qualification
•Experienced in continuous improvement processes (6S, Lean, or similar)
