Rabbit Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, has produced over 200 million pounds of uranium concentrate since its inception. The uranium mined and milled at Rabbit Lake has been used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
Reporting to the general supervisor, process, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient operation of all process areas. If you like working as part of a team where we look out for one another and collaborate to improve our performance, then we may have a job for you.
- Be responsible for planning, coordinating and scheduling process operations and project tasks in order to meet production requirements.
- Identify and develop continual improvement projects to support the needs of the operation.
- Supervise process operators and ensure all process areas are operating in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
- Facilitate process circuit training process team members.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to develop a high performing team.
- Operate process circuits according to our procedures and guidelines, including the line patrol, water treatment, and central control room.
- Work closely with supervisors from various departments to ensure integration of plans across all site and corporate departments.
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Seven years of relevant work experience in process positions
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to give and receive honest feedback
- Previous working experience using SAP and process control systems
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Previous supervisory experience
- Level 1 wastewater treatment certification
- Level 1 and level 2 potable water treatment
- Experience using SAP S/4HANA
- Process technician certification
