Coeur Rochester is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Process General Supervisor to oversee operations in our heap leach facilities and Merrill Crowe processing plant. This leadership role is critical in supporting day-to-day plant operations, optimizing metallurgical performance, and mentoring a team of supervisors and operators.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, performance-driven environment while contributing to the success of one of Coeur Mining's flagship operations.
- Provide technical guidance to process operations to ensure stable and efficient production.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational deficiencies, implementing corrective actions where needed.
- Lead and mentor process supervisors and operators on best practices related to heap leach and Merrill Crowe systems.
- Develop and track performance goals and development plans for direct reports.
- Design, implement, and deliver training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for process operations.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with fixed and mobile maintenance, electrical, mining, crushing, and other processing departments.
- Actively participate in daily operations to ensure safe, compliant, and effective work practices.
- Monitor and analyze metallurgical performance, recommending improvements to enhance plant efficiency.
- Review monthly production and cost data, identifying and explaining budget variances.
- Degree in Metallurgical, Mineral Processing, or Chemical engineering preferred but not required
- 5+ years of progressive experience in mineral processing within the mining industry, including team leadership.- Practical and applied experience with heap leach, Merrill Crowe, refinery, and crushing operations.
- Experience in supervising crews and shift supervisors, with a focus on team development and accountability.
- Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across large, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Skilled in short and long-range planning for heap leach operations.
- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting related to mining operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, and Access.
- Comfortable operating and troubleshooting computerized systems.
