ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Meets regularly with staff to coordinate, plan, assign, and schedule line maintenance work tasks; Tasks include but are not limited to: EI sketch reviews, capital project input, capital maintenance coordination, asset management database usage, emergent designs and implementation, field staff support, third party maintenance coordination, O&M goals and tasks, and maintenance contractor oversight.
Oversees the implementation and strategic direction
of
the transmission line maintenance program for all ITC Holdings footprints, for both capital and O&M line maintenance work.
Provides leadership for third party requests and third party shared maintenance costs that can affect or change transmission line assets.
Oversees the use and implementation of computerized maintenance management systems (Asset Sentry, WMS, etc.) including planning of reactive and preventative maintenance activities.
Monitors progress of line maintenance activities for capital and maintenance projects, and reports status to management and key personnel.
Oversees the annual O&M and capital line maintenance workload, assigns work, and provides direction for balance of yearly activities to meet the needs of the business.
Initiates and facilitates process improvements for the line maintenance program and other Company initiatives.
Provides leadership for the annual O&M and Capital Maintenance budget process related to line maintenance work. Performs regular review of the status of the budget activities and reports status to management.
Monitors and reports on progress of external resources executing the line maintenance program.
Works closely with other departments of the Company to ensure needs of the business are being met.
Oversees NERC Reliability Standards assignments to staff Subject Matter Experts for both 693 and CIP requirements.
Coaches, mentors, performs performance reviews, and guides training of employees for professional development and to inspire high team performance.
Assists in developing and maintaining relationships with contractors for support of the line maintenance program and needs.
Interviews and evaluates candidates for employment at the Company.
Actively participates in industry forums, conferences, and other Company initiatives.
Approves employee timesheets, expense statements and office leave requests.
Reviews and approves vendor services and invoices ensuring accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree, Civil or Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of directly related electric transmission system experience.
Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience or equivalent leadership experience
Demonstrates knowledge of electric system components and related functions.
Demonstrates ability to organize data and resources, plan and manage tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrates effective leadership and motivational skills, which includes mentoring, coaching, developing co-workers and/or subordinates in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrates ability to analyze performance measures and implement process improvements.
Possesses sound analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Possesses a valid driver's license.
Ability to travel to support geographically diverse business operations and staff.
