The

oversees the overall management and operations of the Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) mesh network and connected device communications. Responsibilities also include, AMI network planning and expansion strategy, data integrity, operability assurance, system health, AMI related software and firmware upgrades. Oversees department budgets and processes involving many internal and external stakeholders including the Company's key customers, regulators, communities, and contractors. Responsible for developing staff's technical expertise on various AMI related technologies, as well as the AMI network operations and maintenance work practices and standards. Develops and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including vendors, utilities, and trade associations. Regularly reports to senior management on program status and advises on AMI issues and opportunities.

+ In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and experience totaling eight (8) years of experience in meter operations utility transmission/distribution systems, and/or related experience.

Preferred knowledge, skills, or qualifications:

Knowledge of meter technologies, markets, the electric utility industry, and relevant state and federal requirements preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent technical, business, planning, and project management skills.
