The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $195,000 - $268,000
General Management: This is a senior-level management position with enterprise functional responsibilities across all AVANGRID utility operating companies. The position is responsible for multiple layers of geographically dispersed skilled technical staff and external service providers. The candidate must have advanced management and leadership skills, be skilled in vendor negotiations, and have executive-level presentation and communication skills.
Strategy and System Architecture: The position is responsible for driving local smart grids strategy and translating that knowledge to establish the architectural direction for local operations and Smart Grid technologies. In this capacity, the position is responsible for identifying and assessing technology solutions to meet high-level operational needs and ensuring the solutions are implemented suitably and supportably.
Program Management: Responsible for the successful delivery of enterprise-scale Smart Grid programs and projects ensuring attainment of business objectives, proper governance (budgeting, performance, and compliance), global alignment, and technology sustainability.
Applications: The position is responsible for directing all aspects of the electric and gas control center and advanced metering and applications development, integration, maintenance, support, and lifecycle management. Applications include but are not limited to transmission management, distribution management, outage management, advanced metering, and other real-time applications used to manage network operations.
Infrastructure: The position is responsible for directing all aspects of the control center and advanced metering technical platforms and related services from architectural planning through day-to-day support. Platforms include but are not limited to server environments, storage, databases, private and public networks, security, SCADA communications, and other control center platforms.
Telecommunications: The position is responsible for directing all aspects of the operations of telecommunications infrastructure and associated services from architectural planning through day-to-day support. Telecommunications infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, management of telecommunication services and systems including voice radio, fixed radio, wireless mesh, microwave, fiber, and other related technologies.
Operational Processes & Compliance: Responsible for ensuring robust enterprise operational governance processes across technology domains. Ensuring full attainment of system performance, availability recoverability, and compliance requirements. Compliance requirements include but are not limited to NERC CIP, FCC, other applicable State and Federal requirements, and corporate cyber and physical security policies.
