Summer Student Laboratory Technician - Minneapolis Laboratory

Fluid Life has a current full time opening for a motivated Lab Technician (Summer Student) to join our team for the months of May to the end of August. This is an exciting opportunity in our Bloomington, MN laboratory to perform routine analysis on used oil, fuel and coolant samples.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform testing on used oils, coolants, and fuels according to ASTM methods.

· Be accountable for your contribution to achieving turnaround time goals and quality lab testing.

· Be responsible for loading analytical instruments and auto samplers, as well as basic equipment maintenance.

· Be able to transfer results accurately, perform data entry and identify lab supplies in need of restock.

· Be committed to producing quality results by ensuring samples pass QC standards and running QC/ blank samples.

QUALIFICATIONS

· The successful candidate will be enrolled in a BSc. in Chemistry program

· Ability to multi-task and excellent attention to detail

· Strong work ethic

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

· Exceptional oral and written communication skills

· Strong computer skills
