EthosEnergy is currently seeking an experienced Structural Welder to join our manufacturing team in Orlando, FL. Major responsibilities of this role include reading and interpreting blueprints. Other duties include but are not limited to: Print reading and weld symbols, preparing materials, cutting, grinding, drilling & preparing base material. Qualified candidates must be safety driven and will follow safety standard and codes. This is a multi-discipline role. Other qualifications include AWS certification in structural steel in MIG (FCAW), 3-5 years of experience in a related industry and an education from an accredited industrial welding trade school.

Job Responsibilities

- Preparation and assembly of metal structures according to blueprints and AWS D1.1 specifications

- Proficient in blueprint reading and work from verbal instructions.

- Conduct inspections of materials and structures to ensure compliance with safety, AWS code, quality standards and customer expectations

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company policies

- Participate in training sessions to enhance welding skills and knowledge of materials

- Collaborate with team members to achieve project milestones and deadlines

- Able to perform layout and fit-up structural members for designed specifications on prints and to customer requirements

- Candidate must have a good understanding of weld symbols

- Proficient in using various hand tools; Tape measure, drill press, port-a-band saw, hand drills, angle and bench grinders

- Able to use gantry cranes and be able to obtain forklift certification.

Required Skills / Knowledge

- AWS certified in structural steel in MIG (FCAW)

Experience

- 3-5 years preferred

Education Requirements

- Industrial welding trade school

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift, bend and maneuver heavy materials up to 50 lbs

- Flexibility to adjust and move with ease for working with welding equipment and material

- 20/20 Vision
