You start your morning reviewing open purchase requisitions and converting them into purchase orders. You follow up on open commercial clarifications, check price validity, and engage with suppliers to resolve any PO-related questions. You support the strategic sourcing team by gathering supplier quotes, negotiating and identifying alternative suppliers.
- Handle a work-que and secure that POs are issued in due time.
- Ensure a close partnership with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate price increase requests, prepare RFQ packs, onboarding suppliers, run bidding processes, and conduct negotiations for medium Purchasing Volumes.
- Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
- Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); updating supplier evaluation systems to acquire and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
- Maintain records of all documentation, adherence of online purchasing and contract management systems. Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Procurement, Business, or Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement or in a similar like role.- Teammate with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives!
- Ability to work in a complex, fast-changing global organizational environment
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Strong SAP experience.
- Experience in engineering or manufacturing environment is a plus.
