Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manufactures quality products per customer specifications and internal build procedures with all skills necessary to complete project on time. Participates in activities with team members engaged in all steel fabrication processes. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, department procedures and work instructions.
•Familiar with and adheres to the Company Core Values; policies – including LPI rules, procedures, work instructions and processes, ISO 9001:2008 Quality System requirements; OSHA Regulations and company safety rules.
•Responsible to implement activities and details necessary to meet daily production goals and priorities established by the production schedule and internal build sequences as conveyed by each project Inspection Record.
•Analyze work orders and build sequences; interprets specifications, c-notes, shop drawings and related documents to gain understanding of job requirements.
•Layout, cut, fit-up, mig weld, drill, tap and fabricate various simple and complex bases, structures, reservoirs, and hangers. Assemble components as part of overall project.
•Ensures all products are built to the highest standard of quality, assuring production processes are adhered to and project is completed on time as scheduled.
•Makes repairs or reworks products which fail to meet standards.
•Ensures all welds are complete to include cleaning.
•Interfaces with others in the organization to incorporate changes and suggests methods to expedite production; performs work to ensure deadlines are met.
•At completion of each build process, ensures inspection record is properly filled out, signatures in place; MTR’s attached in sequential order; all effected drawings red-lined; red tags and punch list are filled out and attached or removed prior to requesting Shop Foreman for inspection.
•Record hours worked for each production process into manufacturing software.
MATERIAL CONTROL:
•Reviews project with Supervisor at commencement. Submits requisitions for missing parts, materials and consumables required for manufacturing to the Shop Foreman or Purchasing Manager at the beginning of each project and as required. Production Manager is copied on all requisitions.
•Uses materials primarily from stock short racks as required.
•Upon project completion - clears work bench and work area of all miscellaneous materials and restocks all hardware. Relocates job parts back to job shelf, pallet rack or laydown area.
•Responsible for inventories. Requisition from Purchasing Manager any and all materials / consumables required to maintain min-max amounts of various stock and inventory items required for departmental operations. Supervisor is notified.
•Responsible for tool cabinet inventory as needed.
GENERAL:
•Suggests changes to increase efficiencies and/or improve quality of products.
•Responsible to follow established safety policies and accidental injury guidelines.
•Responsible to shutdown work area and finish assigned department tasks
•Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Required:
•Ability to obtain a Forklift License
•Ability to Obtain Crane Operators License
•Must be able to pass a weld test
•Proficiency in basic math
•Ability to read a tape measure
Hourly Rate $20-25 depending on experience.
Schedule: 6am-2:30pm Monday - Friday
Overtime hours: 6am-4:30pm
Some Saturdays required
