WGL - Sr Project Manager, Infrastructure

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager Digital to help evolve our Plan, Build, Run model into a high-performing, product-oriented operating framework. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex digital initiatives, mentoring project managers, and driving operational excellence across our digital portfolio.

You will:

- Manage end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.

- Collaborate with Strategy & Planning to shape Opportunity Briefs and transition them into active projects.

- Establish project structures, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure adherence to AltaGas’ Project Delivery Methodology (PDM).

- Champion financial discipline, track CapEx/OpEx allocations, and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.

- Communicate effectively with senior leadership, sponsors, and cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and alignment.

- Support junior project managers and onboard third-party PMs, contributing to the maturity of the PMO function.

- Stay ahead of digital trends and evaluate new technologies for potential application across the business.

You have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

- PMP certification or a Bachelor’s in Project Management required. Cloud or Cybersecurity certifications or documented training strongly preferred.

- Proven track record managing complex, multi-vendor environments and third-party service providers.

- 5+ years of experience with cloud or cybersecurity projects, supported by relevant certifications or training.

- Backgrounds such as system/network administrators, infrastructure or cyber architects/engineers with PMP or equivalent training are highly valued.

- 7–10+ years of project management experience within IT infrastructure (cloud and on-premise), cybersecurity, or a combination of both.

- Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and other project tools.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in utilities or industrial sectors is a strong asset.

- Willingness to travel as needed.
