Sr. Mechanical Designer (CAD)

Position Overview:

Birck Engineering is seeking a motivated Mechanical/Piping Designer with 6+ years of design experience utilizing ether CADWorx / AutoCAD Plant 3D in the process industries, such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, or related. The role requires a proactive and ambitious Designer with strong foundational drafting/design skills and the capacity to learn new skills and solve problems. The Mechanical Designer is experienced in working solo as well as in a team environment on projects of varying complexity as well as performing tasks and following through with project responsibilities independently. The Mechanical Designer works within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to meet project objectives. The Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating process flow diagrams, P&IDs, plot plans, piping plans, sections, and details, isometrics, 3D models, etc. Additionally, the Mechanical Designer can perform on-site walkdowns as well as interact with clients professionally.

Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· Accredited two (2) year degree in technical field of study (is a plus but not required)

· Must be able to both sit and stand for extended periods of time

· Must be able to lift and move 45lbs

· Ability to travel to project sites
