We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer proficient in SolidWorks to help design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and components. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes, ensuring that designs meet all functional, performance, and aesthetic requirements.
Compensation:
$30 - $34 hourly
Responsibilities:* Develop and design 3D models using SolidWorks for mechanical components and assemblies.
•Create detailed 2D technical drawings, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements.
•Working with engineers and other team members to refine designs and ensure they will meet requirements.
•Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and other technical documentation as required.
•Performing design analysis and simulations, and potentially conducting prototype testing to verify functionality and safety.
•Creating and maintaining detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing.
•Ensuring designs comply with company and industry standards, regulations, and building codes.
•Continuously improve design processes and standards for efficiency and quality.
•Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production.
•Identify and resolve design issues, ensuring solutions meet performance and safety requirements.
•Stay up to date with the latest SolidWorks tools and design trends to implement best practices.
Qualifications:Required Skills/Abilities:
•Computer Aided Design (CAD)
•Technical specification design

•Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

•Product development in manufacturing
•Sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
•2–4 Years of related experience
•Proven experience as a Mechanical Designer with strong proficiency in SolidWorks
•Knowledge of engineering principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
•Strong understanding of mechanical design, tolerancing, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
•Experience with design analysis, simulations, and CAD modeling.
•Experience with PDM systems (preferred but not required)
•Familiarity with other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor) is a plus

•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•Ability to use tools and controls
•Ability to see details at a distance, distinguish colors and brightness.
