Within Motiva’s Business Development group, the Senior Manager – Strategy & Market Analysis will contribute significantly to all aspects of Motiva’s strategy development and play a crucial part in ensuring clear communication and alignment of Motiva's Company strategy with the overarching goals of our Shareholder. This role leads Motiva’s strategy formulation and will encompass shaping our market outlook, manage the company investment plans, establish economic and transaction standards, and foster collaborative efforts with Motiva’s Portfolio Business Development and Transaction Execution teams to optimize strategy execution.
This role manages a team of strategists, ensuring analytical rigor and governance compliance across all strategic evaluations and investment proposals. The Senior Manager provides insights that shape Motiva’s long-term growth, informs portfolio decisions, and ensures that enterprise strategy is grounded in sound market, financial, and economic logic.
- Development of insightful, impactful business strategy with a focus on industrial logic, decision analysis, value creation, risk assessment, and capital allocation.
- Enhance Aramco Governance protocols and new financial modeling accountabilities.
- Drive results-oriented collaboration across a diverse stakeholder base to formulate business line strategies that are tailored to meet specific purposes and objectives.
- Deliver compelling presentations showcasing recommended strategic decisions, investment plans, and market outlooks to Motiva's Executive Leadership team, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Foster strategic coordination, collaboration, and alignment with Saudi Aramco Strategy & Market Analysis and other pertinent stakeholders.
- Development of the company’s market outlook in collaboration with our Shareholder.
- Management of the company’s investment plans, risks, and exposures.
- Continuously integrate Motiva Strategy and standards into Motiva's Business Plan, Investment Proposals, and Economic Analyses, ensuring seamless alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead performance benchmarking initiatives to assess organizational effectiveness and identify opportunities for strategic improvement.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of strategists, including the Senior Strategist – Financial Modeling, to deliver integrated strategic insights, market analyses, and investment evaluations that guide enterprise decision-making.
- Apply advanced decision analysis, price forecasting, and risk assessment techniques to guide data-driven strategic planning and mitigate potential exposures
- Continuously monitor industry trends and market dynamics, fostering a culture of curiosity and proactive learning to inform strategic recommendations
- Oversee establishment of modeling and evaluation standards and oversee the work of the Strategy & Market Analysis team to ensure analytical consistency and accuracy in all investment assessments.
- Represent the Strategy & Market Analysis team with professionalism and executive presence, building trust and credibility across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and maintain high standards of accuracy and precision in financial modeling, strategic assessments, and investment planning
- Facilitate collaborative problem-solving across cross-functional teams, promoting a positive, inclusive, and results-oriented work environment
- Navigate ambiguity and complexity with confidence, maintaining focus and adaptability in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of professional experience, with recent experience in business development, strategy, and/or transactions.- Proficient in financial analysis, showcasing expertise in economic modeling and value chain analysis and understanding and optimizing key components within the business process.
- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Proven experience developing and delivering impactful presentations at various levels of the organization, including senior leaders, executives and shareholders.
- Extensive experience in Industry Segmentation, demonstrating a keen understanding of diverse market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial and strategic analysis into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Experience leading governance or investment planning processes, including preparation for senior leadership or shareholder review
- MBA, CFA, or other advanced credential.
- Oil & Gas, Refining, Manufacturing industry experience
- Experience in mergers & acquisitions within the energy or downstream oil & gas sectors.
- The role requires occasional (~20%) international and domestic travel.
