We are currently seeking a Sr Manager-Partnership Programs to facilitate the overall strategic direction, growth and sustainability of the Partnership for Safe Water and Partnership for Clean Water – the water sector’s premier utility optimization and recognition programs. For nearly 30 years, Partnership Programs have been a thriving business within a business at AWWA. Position Objective:
Responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth, and profitability of the industry’s premier optimization and recognition programs for water utilities. This position will oversee all aspects of the program’s business and technical operation including program development and delivery, outreach, business development, subscriber services and program profitability. As a technical and business leader, this position will also provide technical expertise, leadership, and assistance to program subscribers, AWWA members, volunteers, the general public, staff, and other water sector stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions
•Manage and lead the Partnership Programs including but not limited to the Partnership for Safe Water (PSW), the Partnership for Clean Water (PCW).
+ Lead the strategic planning process for the development of short- and long-term program objectives aligning with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
+ Develop and execute an annual business plan and budget
+ Communicate with current and prospective Partnership Program subscribers, in new and existing markets, and collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with program priorities and initiatives
+ Analyze and maximize the benefits of the Partnership Programs by continuously evaluating subscriber feedback, retention and recruitment performance, and impact of Program participation on water utility management and operations
+ Continuously evaluate and improve program operations to increase efficiency and effectiveness
+ Fostering a culture of innovation to maintain relevance, and exceed subscriber expectations
+ Cultivate strong relationships with partners, subscribers and volunteers to maximize retention and satisfaction
+ Manage and oversee production and delivery of materials and reports for Partnership Program subscribers
•Provide technical information and assistance to department colleagues, other AWWA departments, and staff members; act as technical subject matter expert as necessary
•Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
+ Attend and/or lead team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
+ Know, understand, and follow employee guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
Supervisory Duties
•Provide leadership to direct reports
+ Help direct reports overcome any organizational obstacles encountered
+ Mentor direct reports in facilitation of meetings and volunteer groups

+ Willingness to assist staff in order to achieve departmental goals

•Provide full supervisory responsibility for recruitment, hiring, retention, performance and professional development, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and termination of direct reports
Education, Certification or Formal Training:
•Bachelor’s degree in water-related scientific discipline required; master’s degree or Master of Business Administration (MBA) strongly preferred
Work Experience:
•Minimum of five (5) years’ technical experience in a water or engineering-related field required including experience managing or leading small to mid-size teams required
•Minimum of three (3) years’ supervisory experience strongly preferred
•Product/program management experience preferred
•Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The pay range for this position is $88,000 to $110,000 per year depending on experience and is paired with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
