Sr. LabVIEW Software Developer

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Sr. LabVIEW Software Developer opportunity in Knoxville, TN.

Work Location: In office (preferred), Remote, or Hybrid options available.

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position will work with a nuclear engineering consulting firm that provides products and services to measure instrumentation and control system performance in nuclear power plants worldwide. A LabVIEW Developer on the Systems Team would develop Company software used to successfully deliver products and services for customers. The primary responsibilities of a LabVIEW Developer are to design and develop products, perform software verification and validation, and design new test equipment and technology while adhering to the Company’s comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) program.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering - 10+ years of experience in software development and testing - 10+ years of experience developing software applications in LabVIEW

- Experience in data acquisition using National Instruments-based hardware systems (daqmx, cRIO, cDAQ, or PXI)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and develop data acquisition systems, build and use databases, create data analysis algorithms, and generate reports for new and existing software products

- Lead and mentor junior developers

- Manage software development projects

- Perform software verification and validation

- Perform research and development to design new test equipment and technology

- Compile data and write reports for completed projects
