Summary
The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, web services, and web-based solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
- Design and develop software applications in alignment with requirements defined by development leadership.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using industry best practices.
- Perform debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with team members and take direction from the Lead Software Developer and Manager.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues and application problems reported via the helpdesk system or assigned by team leadership.
- Identify opportunities for code optimization and recommend improvements to the Lead Software Developer.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and development trends to continuously enhance technical skills and team capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical training.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software design and development.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with a deep understanding of software development principles.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, platforms, and development methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some periods of time may be spent in a communications equipment space for installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Some work (less than 10%) requires frequent bending, moving, and lifting.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
- Up to 25% of travel required.
