Sr. GIS Technician

As a Senior GIS Technician, you'll play a vital role in updating and enhancing data systems through data entry, modification, and the development of analytical tools. You'll leverage client data to solve business challenges, support leadership in tracking project timelines and goals, and communicate clearly and professionally across various formats. Your expertise will contribute to refining data workflows, evaluating data sources, and applying past project experience to improve current assignments. You'll also train team members on established standards, assist in client communications under supervision, and support quality control activities led by project managers and analysts.

Minimum Requirements:

- 2-3 years related work experience or GIS certification

- Working knowledge of basic software programs such as Microsoft Office and ArcGIS

- Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in GIS related discipline

- Prior experience utilizing GIS software in the utility or pipeline industry

- Knowledge of CADD is a plus

- Solid working knowledge of client GIS specifications

- This position pays between $23.00 and $25 an hour and is a non-exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
